Winter break reminders

Happy holidays! I hope you are all enjoying your Winter Break. If you can find the time, please have yiur child try to do the following things:

1. Read AR books. You can come to school to take AR tests in the school computer lab next week Monday and Friday or wait until you come back to school.

2. Do KidBiz articles. Try to pass every article with a score of 75% or higher.

3. Study the division facts for 2,3, and 4. 

Christmas Tree Project

We had a great time decorating sugar cones to create fun Christmas trees. Thank you to everyone for your generous donations of items for this project. Thank you also to the parents who came to help. Your assistance is much appreciated.

Garden Disaster!

Over the weekend, our Kapunahala Ohana Garden was destroyed by vandals. These thoughtless individuals uprooted every single plant and knocked over the string bean teepees. The garden was totally destroyed. 

Thank you to Ms. Mew, Mr. and Mrs. Hood for working hard to fix up the garden and replant whatever they could salvage. 

This was a very hard lesson for the kids to experience, but we are resilient and are working hard to restore the garden.

Christmas Program

We hope to see you at our Christmas program on Friday, December 20. There are two showtimes: 8:30 am and 9:45 am. 

Grade 3 will be performing the high spirited song "All I Want for Christmas". B23 will be standing along the left wall (when you are facing the stage) Please check with your child where he/she is in the lineup.

Mr. JP would like the children to wear pajamas to perform in since it is the attire of the day for school spirit week. They may wear regular shoes or houseslippers.

If you have not done so yet, please return your pink Early Release form (whether your child is staying in school or going home). Children may be released after the second program.

Party and Tree Decorating Activity Reminder

Thank you to everyone who sent in their items for the tree decorating and party this Thursday. Please check with your child if he/she has not shown you the letter with what they volunteered to bring.

Please send in the tree decorating items by tomorrow (Wednesday). We need to make sure that we have everything that we need to do the project.

Please send in your party items by Thursday. If the item is non-perishable you can send it in tomorrow. For those who volunteered to bring ice cream, please label your bag with your child's name and B23 and drop it off in the cafeteria.

FYI: Our class count is 25 students.
