Sound Energy
Our new Science unit is the study of "Sound Energy". Today we did an experiment with styrofoam cup telephones. This is what we learned about sound:
Kaden: I learned that the vibrations go through the line and cup.
Katelyn: I learned that there are high and low pitches and they're made with sounds.
Joshua: What I learned about the experiment is that you can only talk to one person and not many persons.
Karley: I learned how to communicate with people over a styrofoam telephone cup.
Haley: I learned that sound can be very hard to hear.
Nanea C.: I learned that vibration goes through the string to your ear.
Marcus: I learned that the vibrations of the string and cup can make sound.
Alexus: I learned that a styrofoam phone is like a real phone because you can talk in the phone and your partner will hear it.
Kalewa: I learned that you can talk to each other through a cup and string.
Stay tuned for our final project directions which will be to create a musical instrument that produces sound.
